The problem investigated:
Are biospheres a viable solution for escaping the air pollution issues on Earth?
It was believed that that the experimental design for this problem would be achievable because the control and variable biosphere models were created and designed in such a way that the following variables and parameters could be tested: temperature, water acidity, solid particulates and 3 varieties of plant growth.

My hope is........
All people can benefit from this study. Although it is my hope that an impression is made on young people and raise their awareness through this research. Any individual could gain insight on the condition of our atmosphere and it's future by reviewing the findings of my study. The results of the biosphere study directly addresses the needs of the audience called the human race! As quoted by B. Dioum: "For in the end we will conserve only what we love. We will love only what we understand. We will understan only what we are taught."
Evidence and Data
*see reference 3
I am still amazed at the thought of humans even considering life in a biosphere , never mind the actual thought of it...How sad it would be to have to grow crops in an artificial environment! It is more my hope that the data illustrated in my research, will show that it would behoove the human race to seriously re-think how we depend on fossil fuels for energy and how the results of this strategy are ruining our precious air. Yet, my research does show that the control biosphere is an overall healthier environmental solution for life to exist without the introduction of air pollutants. As one can see in the graphed data the water pH remained near neutral whereas in the variable biosphere the acidity was greater at a pH of 6 (see graph 3).The variable biosphere was where motor oil was burned for 15 min/wk. The smoke pollutant was introduced into the model environment each week for 5 weeks. There was evidence of smog like pollutant forming, which also increased air temperature in the variable biosphere. The air temperature did not fluctuate or indicate global warming in the control biosphere (see graph 1).
The average plant growth was healthier than in the variable biosphere, especially seen in the grass growth after 5 weeks (see graph 4-5).
A petri dish filled with vaseline showed 0% solid particulate build-up after 5 weeks of the study. Whereas in the variable biosphere the particulate build up was 20% after 5 weeks of observation. Overall, after only 5 weeks of research the data in the variable group indicated an acidic rain water quality, poor plant growth and rising temperatures. Imagine this actually occuring daily, as it does in actuality, no wonder the Earth has pollution issues!

A Solution to Pollution
The experiment data proved that it is possible to grow healthy plants in biospheres without acidic rain quality or global warming. Therefore, we can conclude that we can agriculturally survive with the use of biospheres if we insist on polluting our atmosphere. In the future it would be preferable to get big industries who burn fossil fuels to limit, control, or completely stop the use of fossil fuels and use alternative forms of energy such as wind power, solar energy, or hydroelectric sources for power.
Conclusions
This project made me more aware overall of the air pollutant types and their components and their effects on agriculture and water quality. By participating in this research I learned that if we continue to pollute our Earth at the current rate it will directly effect the health of our crop production in the world. I also learned more about chemistry and the pH scale which rates acidic qualities of liquids.
